FLUXO

Tema centrale di questo visionario progetto è l'acqua, elemento indispensabile alla vita e sostanza di immensa forza poetica che può essere al tempo stesso luogo di morte e annullamento, e cuore di istanze sociali, politiche e antropologiche di stringente attualità. Questa dualità̀ valoriale si rispecchia nella struttura stessa di Flu水o, che vede la compresenza di reenactment e reinterpretazioni di alcune performance di artisti dell’Asia Orientale degli anni ’60 legate all’acqua accanto a una rappresentazione della sarcastica opera da camera Mare Nostrum di Mauricio Kagel sulle tragedie del colonialismo.

Il progetto Flu水o nasce da un’idea di Luciana Galliano ed è curato da Davide Quadrio. L’opera porta la firma di Alessandro Sciarroni, che sceglie di condividere l’autorialità del progetto con diverse figure dalla scena contemporanea italiana e internazionale a partire da una stretta collaborazione con Andrea Anastasio al quale affida la concettualizzazione delle scene, i costumi dei musicisti e l’installazione site specific di Mare Nostrum ispirata alle acque del mediterraneo, lo stage set che ospiterà l’opera di Kagel e le performance delle artiste invitate: Chiara Bersani - reenactment di Water Music (vers. 1965) di Shiomi Chieko; Anna Raimondo - "Le forme dei sogni tornano al mare" 2021, basato su Water Music di Shiomi Cheiko (1964); Rossella Biscotti con Attila Faravelli - reenactment diWater Music per nastro magnetico di Takemitsu Toru (1960); Silvia Gribaudi - reenactment of Water Piece di Yoko Ono(1964); Silvia Calderoni e Ilenia Caleo, reenactment di Covered in Detergent on Stage, Bathing in Water di Nam June Paik (1964). Mare Nostrum, vetta del teatro musicale di Kagel, verrà interpretata dal controtenore Kai Wessel e dal baritono Miljenko Turk sotto la direttore del maestro Arnaud Arbet alla testa dell'Ensemble Bernasconi e con Elena Casoli, chitarra e Yuka Ohta, percussioni. Alla rappresentazione dell'opera collaborerà̀ l’artista performativa Muna Mussie.

FLUXO

The central theme of this visionary project is water, an element indispensable for life and a substance of immense poetic power that can also be a place of death and annihilation, the focal point for social, political and anthropological issues of urgent contemporaneity. This duality of values is mirrored by the structure of Flu水o, which comprises the simultaneous presence of re-enactments and reinterpretations of some performances by 1960s East Asian artists with links to water alongside a production of Mare Nostrum, a sarcastic chamber opera by Mauricio Kagel.

The Flu水o project emerges from an idea by Luciana Galliano and it is curated by Davide Quadrio. The opera is directed by Alessandro Sciarroni, who chose to share the project’s authorship with a number of artists who are well established on the contemporary Italian and international scene, starting from a close cooperation with Andrea Anastasio to whom he entrusted the conceptualization of the stage, the musicians’ costumes and the site-specific installation for Mare Nostrum. This installation is inspired by the waters of the Mediterranean sea that shape the stage set on which Kagel’s opera is presented. In the surrounding the performances by the invited artists take place: Chiara Bersani - re-enactment of Water Music (1965) by Shiomi Chieko; Anna Raimondo - "Le forme dei sogni tornano al mare" (The shapes of dreams return to the sea) 2021, based on Water Music by Shiomi Cheiko; Rossella Biscotti with Attila Faravelli - re-enactment of Water Music for magnetic tape by Takemitsu Toru (1960); Silvia Gribaudi - re-enactment of Water Piece by Yoko Ono (1964); Silvia Calderoni e Ilenia Caleo, re-enactment of Covered in Detergent on Stage, Bathing in Water by Nam June Paik (1964). Mare Nostrum, one of the highest expressions of Kagel’s musical theatre, is performed by countertenor Kai Wessel and baritone Miljenko Turk with the Ensemble Bernasconi conducted by Arnaud Arbet, also featuring Elena Casoli, guitar, and Yuka Ohta, percussion. In addition, the opera see the presence of performance artist Muna Mussie.

FLUXO A SHANGHAI

Dopo l’anteprima al Pirelli Hangar Bicocca di Milano a novembre 2021 e la presentazione al Seosomun Shrine History Museum di Seoul a novembre 2022, il progetto FLU水O inaugura a settembre 2023 al McaM - Ming Contemporary Art Museum di Shanghai con una mostra che espone nella loro versione installativa le performance realizzate dalle artiste nelle edizioni precedenti.

La mostra apre con la performance live The present in now di Silvia Calderoni e Ilenia Caleo in occasione dell’inaugurazione. Il visitatore è accolto dall’installazione video a doppio schermo Flu水o di Ho Tzu Nyen che reinterpreta l’evento FLU水O originale al Pirelli Hangar Bicocca di Milano nella sua interezza, al centro della quale sono esposte alcune opere della serie Eden, 2021, di Andrea Anastasio. Di seguito le quattro sculture sonore di Anna Raimondi Moa, Amina, Mariana e Adlen dalla serie Le forme dei sogni tornano al mare, 2021, accompagnano il visitatore lungo il percorso per concludere con le installazioni video delle performance live delle precedenti presentazioni del progetto, in particolare di Sea State di Chiara Bersani, Water Body di Silvia Gribaudi e The present in now di Silvia Calderoni e Ilenia Caleo.

FLUXO IN SHANGHAI

After its debut at the Pirelli HangarBicocca, Milan in November 2021 and its presentation at the Seosomun Shrine History Museum, Seoul in November 2022, FLU水O is opening in September 2023 at McaM - Ming Contemporary Art Museum, Shanghai as an exhibition featuring installation versions of the works performed by the artists in the previous editions.

The exhibition opening will feature a live performance of The Present in Now by Silvia Calderoni and Ilenia Caleo. The exhibition itself will begin with Flu水o, a two-screen installation video by Ho Tzu Nyen that reinterprets the entirety of the original FLU水O event at the Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan, in the middle of which a few works from Andrea Anastasio’s Eden series (2021) will be on display. This will be followed by four sound sculptures by Anna Raimondo, Moa, Amina, Mariana and Adlen from the Le forme dei sogni tornano al mare (the shapes of dreams return to the sea) series (2021), and video installations of the live performances from the preceding editions of the project, in particular Chiara Bersani’s Sea State, Silvia Gribaudi’s Water Body and Silvia Calderoni and Ilenia Caleo’s The Present in Now.

FLUXO上海

继 2021 年 11 月在米兰倍耐力HangerBicocca首次亮相，并于 2022 年 11 月在首尔西小门圣地历史博物馆演出后，“Flu水o”将于 2023 年 9月在上海明当代美术馆（McaM）以装置形式展出艺术家在此前活动中的表演。

展览开幕将以西尔维亚·卡尔德罗尼和伊莱尼亚·卡里奥现场表演《现在即是当下》开启。展览则以何子彦《Flu水o》为开场，在其双屏装置视频中重新诠释了米兰倍耐力 HangerBicocca第一场 “Flu水o”表演的全部内容。在这个空间的中间展示了安德里亚·安纳斯塔西奥的《伊甸》（2021年）的系列作品。紧接着是安娜·莱蒙多的 “梦想的形状回归大海”（2021 年），其中包括《莫瓦》《阿米娜》《玛丽安娜》和《阿德勒》创作的四件声音雕塑。展览还呈现了过往现场表演的视频装置版本，包括乔亚拉·贝尔萨尼的《海的样态》，西尔维亚·格力巴乌迪的《水体》以及西尔维亚·卡尔德罗尼和伊莱尼亚·卡里奥的《现在即是当下》。
